Despite the challenging year that 2020 was, Dale was quite busy! Here are the highlights:

Dale’s sixth short film, Entwined, which she wrote and directed, stars Michael Dorn ("Worf" in the Star Trek series and films) and Suzanne Ford (television and stage actress.) In 2020, Entwined screened live at Beaufort International Film Festival and Sedona International Film Festival; and virtually at the following festivals: Breckenridge, Topaz, Dances with Films, Lonely Seal, San Francisco Independent Short Film, and Ojai— where it received the Bill Paxton Award. It will screen in in 2021 at Borrego Springs and New Hope.

In 2020, Dale's fifth short film, Dirty Little Secret, which she wrote and directed, screened live at Dam Short Film Festival and virtually at the following festivals: San Luis Obispo International, Best Short Fest (Ontario, Canada) and International Women’s, Orlando, FL. (where it was named a finalist). It will screen live at The Women’s Film Festival (Philadelphia) in 2021. It will also screen, in February of 2021, at the Beaufort International Film Festival where it has been nominated for Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Actor.

Dale's fourth short film, The Dinner Guest, is continuing to be accepted to festivals. In 2020, it screened live at Cambria Film Festival. It screened virtually at the following festivals: Dublin International Short Film and Lone Star Film Festival. It will screen in 2021 at Dam Short Film Festival and SENE Film Festival.

Dale adapted two of her plays, One White Crow and Blue Jay Singing in the Dead of Night into feature screenplays and has been submitting them to screenwriting competitions. So far, Blue Jay... has been named a semi-finalist in the New York City International Screenwriting Competition and StoryPros Screenwriting Competition; and One White Crow has been named a semi‑finalist in the Creative World Awards; a quarter‑finalist in the Los Angeles International Screenplay Competition; and a finalist in the Script Summit Festival.
