DALE GRIFFITHS STAMOS

2021 has continued to be a busy time for Dale. The three films she wrote and directed, The Dinner Guest, Dirty Little Secret, and Entwined have continued to screen at multiple film festivals including (but not limited to:) Beaufort International, SENE, Topaz Festival by Women, Borrego Springs, Ridgefield, Imagine This, San Luis Obispo, Dam Short, and The Women’s Festival, Philadelphia.

Her newest film is Dancing with Shadows, which she wrote and Deborah LaVine directed. It has so far screened at 4 film festivals: Breckenridge, LA Shorts International, New York Shorts International, and Ojai.

In 2021 Dale was also the recipient of recognitions including Best Short Film at Borrego Springs Film Festival for "Entwined," Female Eye Filmmaking Award at the New Hope Film Festival for "The Dinner Guest;" and nominations for Best Director for "Dirty Little Secret" at the Beaufort International Film Festival.

During Covid, Dale took advantage of the time at home (while also attending virtual festivals) to work on several full length plays. Her play, Blue Jay Singing in the Dead of Night, a major revamping of an earlier play, received an excellent Zoom reading through the Launch Pad program of UCSB. It starred Irwin Appel, head of the Theatre Dept. Her other two new full lengths: Imbalance and Entangled each also had Zoom readings; and Entangled additionally had a live reading in Los Angeles in October, 2021.
