So far, in 2023, Dale has screened shorts at Beaufort International Film Festival, Dam Short Film Festival, and Beloit International Film Festival. At Beaufort, "Dancing with Shadows" garnered a Best Actress nomination. Dale's feature film screenplay, Imbalance, is an official selection of The Beverly Hills Film Festival.
In 2022, Dale screened her shorts at 8 film festivals: Topaz Women's, Cambria, Beaufort International, Dam Short, Love Your Shorts, Lovesick, Borrego Springs, and Poppy Jaspar. "Entwined" garnered a Best Drama win at Dam Short and a Best Short at Borrego Springs; "Unintended" was nominated for Best Short and Best Actor at Lovesick; and "The Dinner Guest" was nominated for Best Actress and Best Ensemble at Beaufort International. Dale's feature script, Imbalance, was an official selection of LA Femme Film Festival. Her pilot script, Time of Your Life, co-written with Maggie Grant, was named a finalist in the Santa Barbara International Screenplay Awards, a finalist in Wiki: The World's Fastest Screenplay Contest, a semi-finalist in Fade-in Comedy Awards, and a quarter-finalist in the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards.
Dale has continued to send out her three full length plays, Blue Jay Singing in the Dead of Night, Imbalance and Entangled for theatrical development or production. Her short plays have continued to be produced in the US and abroad, including a production of "The Unintended Video" in Dubai! In May, 2023, her short play, "Identity," will be produced by Eden Prairie Players.
And... as part of the three woman team of VEW Productions Dale is exploring launching into feature film making with her screen adaptation of her play, Imbalance, to be directed by Deborah LaVine and to star Jane Hajduk. |
