  Thicker Than Water is an evening of one act plays about family that explore a variety of family dynamics ranging from the heart wrenching to the hilarious.

The Plays:

Out of the Rubble – On the anniversary of her husband's death, a woman returns to the burnt out remains of her home, forcing a painful confrontation with her children.

The Dinner Guest – A wife invites her husband's mistress to dinner in a wild-brained attempt to save her marriage.

Going Home – A son must convince his desperate mother that Dad be allowed to die on his own terms.


Birthday Escape – Dad has run away for his birthday and his bewildered sons discover there's more to their father than they thought.

Line in the Sand – A faithful Episcopalian challenges her parish priest when he decides to reject the election of an openly gay bishop.

Plenty Papaya – A daughter must deal with the shock of walking in on her 80 year-old, stroke-inflicted mother in flagrante delicto! Adapted from the short story, Red Hot Mama, by Nancy Lamb
